| On 17th December 2001, Sally arranged to visit me although we had not seen one another for over quarter of a century. 11 days later I proposed and, remarkably, she said YES! |

| At the time, she was living in Newport Pagnell (see right) and working as deputy manager of a nursing home in Northampton. At Easter, she moved to Tickenham to live with us and was fortunate to have obtained a job locally beforehand. |

| On 3rd April, she started at Laurel Court, a nursing/residential home here in Nailsea, as deputy manager there. Six days later she was asked to apply for the position of home manager which she was offered and started on 13th May. |
