| After the considerable disappointment of a bungalow, allocated by North Somerset District Council, falling through late in 2001, a new property was identified in December that year that seemed even better for me - what have I always said about everything happening for a reason! After much planning, work commenced in April 2002 and everything was completed in time to move in at the end of July. |

| The job that has been done by North Somerset District Council is quite incredible and has to be seen to be believed. The front door is voice activated, there is an inter-floor lift and the overhead tracking in the bedroom goes from the bed all the way to the bath/shower - it would be nice, after six months, for ONE of the three extractor fans to be working but I'm sure they will get around to it eventually! Access to both front and rear doors is by ramps and the latter takes me to a small patio. |

| Environmental controls now include the door, lights, window blinds, TV/video/satellite at the computer (all by voice alone) and the door can even be opened by pressing a button on the wheelchair. |
